Thank you for joining the 6th Annual ‘The Jingle 5K’ as a participant

The 6th Annual Jingle 5K benefits the Manatee Memorial Foundation, Inc. a 501 (c) (3) non-for-profit that was formed to support health-related needs of the Manatee County community and individuals directly or indirectly who have health related situations. Also supports the LWRMC Auxiliary that provides equipment and supplies to LWRMC that benefits its patients, guests, and volunteers.

1Where do I pick up my race packet and bib?
Packet pick-up and registration will be at the new Fit2Run in Downtown Sarasota, 1400 Main Street by Four Points Friday December 15 and Saturday December 16 till 6:00 pm each day. Then store hours at Fit2Run in the UTC Mall next to Dillard’s, Sunday December 17 through Wednesday December 20, then Thursday December 21 till 5:00 pm. The Thursday packet pick-up ends at 5:00 pm to allow enough time to process spreadsheets. Registration and packet pick-up is available race day at the venue on LWR Main Street from 4:00 pm till 7:00 pm.
2What if I cannot make it to the race or pre-registration?
Your competitor shirt will be mailed to you prepaid!
3What time does the Kid’s Santa Dashes start?
The Kid’s Santa Dashes will take place starting at 6:00 pm. The children will be warmed up by Orange Theory Physical fitness trainer Elf’s ten minutes prior to their race start at the Finish Line. The 3-4 years will run 100 meters at 6:00 pm; the 5-6 years run 200 meters at 6:03 pm; 7-9 years will run 400 meters at 6:05 pm; and the 10-12 years will run 800 meters at 6:10 pm. All children finishers receive a crafted finisher’s medal. Trophies are awarded to the top three M/F finishers in each age group. Trophies will be awarded at the DJ booth in the Kid’s zone immediately after the races. Note children 12 and under registered for the 5K can participate for free!
4What time does the Jingle 5K start?
The Jingle 5K starts at the start on Health Pkwy by the LWRMC parking lot entry at 7:00 pm sharp. The 5K has Five Corals. Runners were assigned to the various coral based on their anticipated finish time that was indicated on their entry form:
  1. 28:00 minutes and under – Black numbers #1 to #500 start 7:00
  2. 35:00 minutes and under - Red numbers #501 to #999 start 7:01
  3. 45:00 minutes and under – Green numbers #1000 to #1499 start 7:02
  4. 55:00 minutes and under - Grey numbers #1500 to 1999 start 7:03
  5. Over 55:00 Minutes & Walkers, & Strollers, and runners with pets,
    Orange numbers #2000 to #2499 start 7:05
  6. One Mile Walkers – Blue numbers #2500 to 2999 start at 7:10
5When should I arrive?
Plan to arrive on or about 5:00 pm. There will be (25) Health and Service sponsors or meet and great. There is a Kid’s Zone with two huge slides and a face painter. Chick Fil A cows and other entertainment. There will be warm up exercises provided by, Orange Theory, KOKO Fit Club, and Crunch Fitness in front of our stages. The Lakewood Ranch High School Jazz Band and Braden River Carolers will be playing prior and after the race. The LWRHS Drum Line will be providing music for the start and finish. We are honored to have the Gamble Creek Band to provide music at the venue.

1Where do I park?
There is ample parking in both North and South lots behind LWR Main Street, plus designated areas at the LWRMC parking lot. We have (4) eight passenger golf carts circulating continuously.

1Is there a bag drop?
YES at the Fit2Run booth/tent near the stage. We are not responsible for valuables. Your bib number will be marked on your bag parcel.
2Where can I use the restrooms?
There are ten portalets located in the South Breezeway on Main Street.

1The race course?
Starts on Health Parkway a short walk from LWR Main Street. Then proceeds to Town Center and turns right on the north bound outside lane to Manor Lane and back on the north bound outer lane. There will be ample cones dividing the lanes up and back. There in ambient light along the course with a light tower at the turn and water stop. There will also be ample bottled water at the start and finish after you cross the finish line. There will be music at the water stop, plus snow machines, plus our volunteer Elf’s. There is a finish clock above the finish arch and your time will be automatically recorded. Timing chips are embedded in your bib. Finish results will be posted at the stage and available on www.coolrunning.com
2Will the wave start affect my overall time?
No, the RFID chip embedded on the back of your bib will reads twice, when you start and then when you cross the mat, and finish. The result is the same as if everyone started at once.
3What could I win?
Everyone wins the enjoyment and satisfaction from their accomplishments, and hopefully a personal best! Top finisher’s win New Balance running shoes from Fit2Run. Beautiful 6”x 6” commemorative tiles and gift certificates to M/F Masters; Grand Masters; Sr. Grand Masters; and Veterans; Then age category 4” tiles 1st through 3rd in M/F age groups 9 & under, the 10-14. And five year increments to 80+ Results posted on www.coolruning.com and the Fit2Run web site! Award tiles will be mailed if you are not available at the ceremony.

1Is there anything available for after the race?
Of course! After you run, there will be a food service including Hamburgers and Hot Dogs with Chips, plus bagels, bananas, oranges, and soft drinks! There will be complimentary unlimited adult beverages with proper I.D. For non-competitors there will be available wrist bands for purchase for the food buffet and adult beverages for ($10.00). Children under (16) who are non-participants can enjoy the buffet for free!
2Where do I get my medal?
Lakewood Ranch Runner Club Holiday Triple Challenge medals will be available at the award stage after the run.
